5 questions with guest interview

Hey, I am Adjoa and I have a motivational and personal development blog. I think what my aim is, is pretty much in the niche described above but the main aim of my blog/platform is to share motivational content to keep my community going and to also share ways in which we can become our better selves.

1. How do you prioritise your mental health during a pandemic?

Even though I have a blog and have to show up on social media often as a result, I try to limit the time I spend there just for the simple fact that there always seems to be bad news looming on social media these days.

I also try not to watch the news as much as the constant announcements of death puts me in a bad headspace. Lastly, I try to practice self care all the time and especially during my weekends by simply binge watching netflix shows whilst eating my favourite food or even just letting my thoughts out through journaling.

2. When is the best time to announce good news?

I think with this you have to figure it out for yourself and assess whether it’s too early or right on time. It really just comes down to what you’re trying to announce but it helps to build up some kind of anticipation around whatever it is you’re trying to announce especially when you have a brand.

3. What is the first thing you do after  finding something you’ve spent a long time searching for? Why?

I will probably call my partner and scream down the phone to let him know about it - I must say that he’s probably the first person I always go to when I find out good news or when anything new happens in my life!

4. Do you believe there are certain things better left buried? Why or  why not?

I do not believe this just for the simple fact that things always pop back up whether you like it or not. I think it’s very important to just face whatever it is headstrong, address it and move on. Trying to leave things unsaid or buried never works and said thing always rears its head in the future.

5. If you were given the chance to do something when you were younger, what is it and why?

One thing I love about my childhood was that I was allowed to be myself despite my super extroverted character and it definitely helped me become who I am today. I was allowed to express myself freely, be a kid and just enjoy life!

  1. I love that she seems to have that supportive boyfriend she can go to to celebrate things with! It's so important!
