5 questions with guest interviews

Hey, my name is Najida and I’m a student influencer over on Instagram - @_najida. I share how a typical day in the life is working from home on my Instagram stories and lifestyle posts on my feed. I’m currently in my first year of university studying Accounting and Finance. Other than that, I love creating content on Instagram, writing and binge watching Netflix πŸ˜Š

1. How do you plan out a busy day? What would you consider as priorities?

I plan out a busy day by writing a To-Do list the night before in my planner. I have a daily planner so I have one page per day. I first write down any seminar’s or workshops I have at the top of my page and then split my list into sub categories depending on priority.

I consider school work as top priority as most of the work is time sensitive. Even if they’re not, I pretend they are so I don’t fall behind. I then prioritise other things I need to get done in the day e.g laundry, tidy my room and picking up a parcel. But, I allocate these tasks on a Sunday so when the week begins, I do not  need to worry about when I need to do them.

2. Do you think you’re a perfectionist? If yes, what makes you think you are?

Yes! I definitely think I am. I always check things 3 or 4 times to make sure I did it properly because I’m afraid I can improve it. The perfect example would be my Financial Accounting essay I just submitted. I re-wrote a few paragraphs more than once because I keep forcing myself to find faults in them.

3. How would you influence students in your school to do the things you’re passionate about?

I am passionate about writing and I would influence my friends from school by sharing my love for it. It could inspire them if they see it brings joy to me so they try it out themselves. My friends and I are very similar so it wouldn’t be too hard to influence many of them.

4. What do you think is the number one struggle students face in online learning?

Motivation. There is no divide between the home environment  and work environment anymore so trying to complete a 6 hour school day is difficult. Especially, when your bed is across the room. You just want to relax and watch Netflix.

5. What are some of the habits you sacrificed to balance being a student and a public figure?

I don’t think I’ve sacrificed anything from being a public figure on Instagram as I don’t have a large following. Rather, I’ve gained motivation to study as I feel obliged now to share my day; that was the initial reason as to why I started my account.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Monique for reaching out and asking me if I could be interviewed. I really enjoyed answering the questions and I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post.
