5 questions with guest post interview

I am 21 years old; I am currently studying BA Accounting at university. I started my blog as something to do during lockdown in April 2020 and I am so glad I did. I blog about life advice, health, and beauty, and I talk about the blogging tips I have discovered as I go along.

When I first started writing I was not too sure on the direction I wanted to go in. Therefore, I was writing about anything and everything. Now I have narrowed it down into three categories:

Check out my first post here!

You can find me on social media here:

·      Pinterest

·      Instagram

1. What is your favourite outlet to express yourself?

I enjoy expressing myself through my Instagram posts. I know a lot of people would say their blog as they can write what they want. But sometimes I just do not want to sit down and write, instead I like to take photos and write meaningful captions. I have a larger audience on Instagram, so I feel like I am reaching more people.

2. Do you hide your flaws? Why or why not?

I tend to not hide my flaws because I feel like this way you are able to build on them. I have always thought that the best way to get rid of these flaws is to acknowledge them. I can be a bit of a perfectionist and very undecisive at times, so I try and use these flaws to the best of my ability. Sometimes try to make everything perfect is a good thing as it means I really put the effort into things, although I do tend to be too harsh on myself.

3. Was there a time when you lost all confidence in yourself?

There has not really been a big time where I have completely lost all confidence in myself as I try to be a positive person. However, as a blogger you do tend to dip in and out of not thinking you are good enough. You fall into a slump and run out of ideas. I tend to come out of these slumps quickly as I look at how much I have accomplished already and how I can keep pushing myself to do better and better. I think the best thing to do to avoid this is to take occasional breaks so that you can come back to it feel fresh. It then gives you time to think everything over.

4. What is your message to aspiring bloggers?

Do your RESEARCH! I cannot express this more. Of course, you do learn as you go along but the most important thing is setting up your blog right and using the right platform. I would highly recommend starting out with WordPress if you are looking to monetise your blog.

I wrote a blog post including all the important things beginner bloggers need to do in their first month. So, this includes things like starting up an email list and learning how to use Pinterest as a blogger.

5. How do you balance school, relationship, and blogging?

So, I currently live with my boyfriend which means I find it a lot easier to give time to him. Every Sunday I write up a schedule where I priorities schoolwork, then I fill the spaces with my blogging jobs for that week. I leave time in the evenings to spend time with my boyfriend and my friends and family. I also make sure I get a walk in every day so I can get some fresh air. I tend to ask people to come with me on my walks so that I can have a bit of company and catch up with everyone.

If there are any blogging jobs that do not get done, then I finish them all off on a Sunday as I do not do any schoolwork on Sundays.

  1. I love this series of interviews you've been doing with other bloggers! Even though I know and read the works of some of these bloggers, reading these interviews makes me realize that I do not actually KNOW them all that well. Thanks for giving your readers a sneak peek into the private lives of bloggers! :)
